Random Acts of Kindness Campaign
After Bailey died, we (his family), found ourselves doing nice things for strangers because it made us feel closer to Bailey. Then I (his mom) met some other moms online who also had sons in Heaven. I think of them as Bailey's Heaven friends. Nik's family would hide matchbox/hot-wheels cars with a note attached that shared Nik's story and asked the finders to post pictures with the cars. Carson's family hid "Carson Courage" cars in his honor and also asked people to send in pics of where they found the cars. I thought these were fantastic ways to share the stories of their boys while sending positivity out into the world. So we created Bailey's Heartprints postcards with Bailey's story on one side, while asking others to pass along the kindness on the other. We have re-printed 3 times, while sending out over 3000 cards over the past 7 years.
This was the first "kindness" program we started in Bailey's honor.

I wasn't sure if anyone was really passing them along until one morning when I purchased McDonald's for the family in the car behind me. When I got to work, a friend had posted that her niece was the recipient and called to share it with her and then realized it was in Bailey's honor.
Perhaps the most fun we have had with this is when we attach a small toy or book to a card and set them around Culver's on Bailey's Birthday and we just sit and eat and watch as the kids find them. Bailey was very good at sharing and it makes our family smile when we know that such a small act of sharing what we have with others can bring joy to others. If you would like cards to pass along, please email me at [email protected]. You are also welcome to download the pdf below. Download your own Cards here:![]()
